Cześć! Dzisiaj przychodzę do Was z rekomendacjami trzech rzeczy, które umiliły mi ostatni czas. Jeśli chodzi o muzykę, słucham nowej płyty Shakiry- Las mujeres ya no lloran. Podczas prowadzenia zajęć jako lektor uwielbiam korzystać z różnorodnych materiałów, by lekcje były ciekawe i często przemycam też piosenki hiszpańskojęzyczne, więc gdy tylko Shakira wydała nowy album, musiałam dać mu szansę. Niektóre piosenki wcale nie podbiły mojego serca, ale znalazłam również kilka perełek jak np: Entre Paréntesis (nawiązanie do muzyki regionalnej Meksyku), Tiempo sin verte (pop/ rock), Cómo dónde y cuándo (rock), Última (ballada), TQG (reguetón) oraz Acróstico (popowa ballada). Najbardziej jednak cieszę się z powrotu wokalistki do rockowych brzmień, ponieważ moim zdaniem taka muzyka najlepiej jej wychodzi.

Jeśli chodzi o książki, mam do polecenia dwa tytuły. Pierwszym z nich jest Przewodnik po zbrodni według grzecznej dziewczynki. Nie spodziewałam się po tym thrillerze młodzieżowym niczego wielkiego, ale naprawdę pozytywnie mnie zaskoczył. Intryga jest bardzo dobrze poprowadzona, mamy mnóstwo potencjalnych podejrzanych, a napięcie utrzymuje się do ostatniej strony.

Drugi tytuł to Koniec tęczy. Chile po Pinochecie. Jest to jeden z najciekawszych reportaży, jakie przeczytałam do tej pory. Opowiada o zmianach politycznych i gospodarczych, jakie zaszły po dyktaturze Pinocheta. Wspomina się w niej o rozkładzie sił politycznych we współczesnym Chile i o problemach Chilijczyków. Autor wymienia między innymi takie osoby jak Michelle Bachelet, Evelyn Matthei, Sebastián Piñera, Angelo Sodano czy Jan Paweł II. Widać, że Mazzini ma niesamowitą wiedzę na ten temat, a jego styl pisania sprawia, że książkę czyta się błyskawicznie. Znacie te produkty? Chcecie je poznać? Miłego dnia!

ENGLISH: Hi! Today I come to you with three recommendations that have made my time more enjoyable lately. When it comes to music, I’ve been constantly listening to Shakira’s new album – Las mujeres ya no lloran. When I teach, I love to use a variety of materials to make the lessons interesting and I often include Spanish-language songs, among other things, so as soon as Shakira released a new album, I had to give him a chance. Some songs did not win my heart at all, but I also found a few gems such as: Entre Paréntesis (reference to the regional music of Mexico), Tiempo sin verte (pop/rock), Cómo dónde y cuándo (rock), Última (ballad), TQG (reguetón) and Acróstico (pop ballad). However, I am most happy about her return to rock sounds, because in my opinion this is the type of music she does best.

When it comes to books, I have two titles to recommend. The first one is the A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder. I didn’t expect anything great from this youth thriller, but it really surprised me. The intrigue is very well conducted, we have plenty of potential suspects, and the tension lasts until the final.

The second title is written by Mateusz Mazzini. This is one of the most interesting reportages I have read so far. It talks about the political and economic changes that have occurred after the Pinochet dictatorship. It comments the distribution of political forces in contemporary Chile and the problems of Chileans. The author mentions, among others, people such as Michelle Bachelet, Evelyn Matthei, Sebastián Piñera, Angelo Sodano and Pope John Paul II. ESPAÑOL: ¡Hola! Hoy vengo con tres recomendaciones que últimamente me han hecho más ameno el tiempo. En cuanto a la música, he estado escuchando el nuevo álbum de Shakira: Las mujeres ya no lloran. Cuando enseño, me encanta usar una variedad de materiales para que las clases sean interesantes y, a menudo, incluyo también canciones en español, así que tan pronto como Shakira lanzó un nuevo álbum, tuve que darle la oportunidad. En cuanto a los libros, tengo dos títulos para recomendaros. El primero es Asesino para principiantes. No esperaba mucho de ese thriller juvenil, pero realmente me sorprendió para bien. La intriga está muy bien llevada, tenemos muchos sospechosos potenciales y el libro nos mantiene con tensión hasta el final.

El segundo título está escrito por Mateusz Mazzini. Este es uno de los reportajes más interesantes que he leído hasta ahora. Habla de los cambios políticos y económicos que se han producido tras la dictadura de Pinochet. Comenta la distribución de las fuerzas políticas en el Chile contemporáneo y algunos problemas de los chilenos. El autor menciona, entre otros, a personas como Michelle Bachelet, Evelyn Matthei, Sebastián Piñera, Angelo Sodano y Juan Pablo II. Update & Rock and Roll All Nite & IRA 📖🔥🎤

Hej! Dzisiaj przychodzę do Was z małym updatem i playlistą z moimi ulubionymi piosenkami rockowymi/ metalowymi. Większość z nich należy do moich ukochanych zespołów jak Scorpions, KISS, U2 czy IRA, ale zamieściłam też sporo innych jak np. Iron Maiden, Green Day lub Volbeat. Swoją drogą w tym miesiącu miałam okazję właśnie być kolejny raz na koncercie Iry. Artur Gadowski zawsze ma świetny kontakt z publicznością, a ich muzyka ewidentnie jest ponadczasowa.

Jeśli chodzi o update czytelniczy, we wrześniu przeczytałam trzy tytuły, z czego mogę śmiało polecić książkę Gorączka złota. Jak upadała Wenezuela. Jest to pasjonujący reportaż o kraju, który kiedyś był potęgą. Autor wspomina prosperowanie Wenezueli po II wojnie światowej oraz kontrastuje to z czasami Cháveza czy Maduro. Skupia również uwagę na życiu zwykłych ludzi i ich prześladowaniu przez zmilitaryzowany system.

Kilka dni temu zaczęłam też kolejną powieść Muñoza Moliny –Beltenebros. Osią fabuły jest powrót głównego bohatera do Hiszpanii i dokonanie egzekucji na zdrajcy. Jest to przykład książki w stylu czarnego kina, z wyjątkową fabułą, która dostarcza nam wielu emocji. Skupia się ponadto na wymiarze psychologicznym postaci. Co teraz czytacie? ENGLISH: Hi! Today I come to you with my little update & a playlist with my favorite rock/metal songs. Most of them belong to my favorite bands like Scorpions, KISS, U2 or IRA, but I also included a lot of songs by other bands such as Iron Maiden, Green Day or even Volbeat. By the way, a few weeks ago I had the opportunity to attend Ira’s concert for the second time. Artur Gadowski always has great contact with the audience, the lyrics are moving, and the music is clearly timeless.

As for September readings, I have read three titles, of which I can confidently recommend Gold Rush. How Venezuela fell by Tomáš Forró. It is a fascinating reportage about a country that was once a power. The author mentions the prosperity of Venezuela after World War II and contrasts it with the times of Chávez and Maduro. He focuses also on the lives of ordinary people and their persecution by a militarized system.

A few days ago, I also started reading Beltenebros by Antonio Muñoz Molina. The main character returns to Spain to execute the traitor. It is an example of a film noir style book, with a unique plot that gives us many emotions, and the psychological profiles of the characters are very refined. What are you reading now? ESPAÑOL: ¡Hola! Hoy vengo a vosotros con mi pequeña actualización y mi lista de canciones de rock preferidas. La mayoría de ellos pertenecen a mis bandas favoritas como Scorpions, KISS, U2 o IRA. Por cierto, hace tres semanas asistí por segunda vez al concierto de Ira. Artur Gadowski siempre tiene un gran contacto con el público, las letras son conmovedoras y la música es claramente atemporal.

En cuanto a las lecturas de septiembre, he leído tres títulos, de los cuales puedo recomendar con confianza Gold Rush. How Venezuela fell por Tomáš Forró. Es un reportaje fascinante sobre un país que alguna vez fue una potencia. El autor menciona la prosperidad de Venezuela después de la Segunda Guerra Mundial y la contrasta con los tiempos de Chávez y Maduro. Se centra además en la vida de la gente corriente y su persecución por parte de un sistema militarizado.

Hace unos días también comencé a leer Beltenebros de Antonio Muñoz Molina. El personaje principal regresa a España para ejecutar al traidor. Es un ejemplo de libro al estilo del cine negro, con una trama única que nos proporciona muchas emociones. Summary: June- July 2023| The Renaissance World Tour🔥

Dzisiaj chciałabym krótko podsumować dwa ubiegłe miesiące. Dajcie też znać, co u Was działo się w czerwcu i w lipcu. Miłego dnia!

• Najlepszym wydarzeniem muzycznym (w moim życiu!) był koncert zespołu KISS: świetne efekty specjalne, pokazy instrumentów i dwie godziny cudownej muzyki na żywo!
• Pod koniec czerwca byłam również na show Beyoncé. Występ był bardzo przemyślany, podzielony na siedem ciekawych aktów. Najlepiej oceniam tutaj sam jej wokal, kostiumy i pomysły na scenografię. Wokalistka wykorzystała rekwizyty takie jak m.in. czołg, srebrna muszla czy figurka konia. Cieszę się także, że mogłam usłyszeć na żywo takie utwory jak I Care, 1+1, Rather Die Young, Break My Soul, Cozy i Formation. Mimo to nie był on w mojej ocenie lepszy od koncertu Kiss.
• W lipcu obroniłam też tytuł magistra z wyróżnieniem.
• Jeśli chodzi o najlepsze książki przeczytane w tym okresie, mogę wymienić dwa tytuły: Beatus Ille oraz Życie mimo wszystko. Rozmowy o samobójstwie. Pokazuje się tutaj, jak samobójstwo jest traktowane od wieków w naszej kulturze, jakie są jego główne powody i sposoby pomocy osobom, które je rozważają. Bardzo wartościowa pozycja!

ENGLISH: Hi! Today I would like to briefly summarize the last two months. Let me know how you spent that time. Have a nice day!

• The best event (of my life!) was the concert of the band KISS: great special effects, instrument performances and two hours of wonderful live music!
• At the end of June, I went also to the show of Beyoncé. The concert itself was very well thought out, divided into seven interesting acts. I rate her vocal, costumes and ideas for the set the best here. The singer used props such as a tank, a silver shell or the figure of a horse, among others. I’m also very happy to be able to listen to songs like I Care, 1+1, Rather Die Young, Break My Soul, Cozy and Formation live. Still, it wasn’t better than the musical performance of Kiss in my opinion.
• In July, I defended my master’s degree with honors.
• As for the best books read during this period, I can name two titles: A Manuscript of Ashes and one publication by Halszka Witkowska and Szymon Falaciński. The book shows how suicide has been treated in culture for centuries, what are its main reasons and ways to help people who are considering it.

ESPAÑOL: ¡Hola! Hoy me gustaría resumir brevemente los últimos dos meses. Dejadme saber cómo pasasteis ese tiempo. ¡Que tengáis un lindo día!

• El mejor evento (de mi vida) fue el concierto de KISS: grandes efectos especiales, actuaciones de instrumentos y dos horas de maravillosa música en vivo.
• A finales de junio también fui al show de Beyoncé. El concierto en sí estuvo muy bien pensado, dividido en siete actos interesantes. Me impresionó su voz y su vestuario. El cantante utilizó atrezos como un tanque, una concha de plata o la figura de un caballo, entre otros. Asimismo, estoy muy contenta de poder escuchar canciones como I Care, 1+1, Rather Die Young, Break My Soul, Cozy y Formation en vivo. Aun así, no fue mejor que el espectáculo de Kiss (en mi opinión).
• En julio obtuve mi maestría con honores.
• En cuanto a los mejores libros leídos durante ese período, puedo nombrar dos títulos: Beatus Ille y una publicación sobre suicidios de Halszka Witkowska y Szymon Falaciński. El libro muestra cómo se ha tratado el suicidio en la cultura durante siglos, cuáles son sus principales motivos y formas de ayudar a las personas que lo están considerando.

End Of The Road World Tour (Kraków 19.06.2023)| KISS 🎶⚡

Dzisiaj przychodzę do Was z krótką relacją z koncertu zespołu KISS. Uwielbiam ich i zawsze chciałam zobaczyć ich występ na żywo. Nie sądziłam, że przewyższy on tyle innych koncertów, na których byłam do tej pory. Muszę jednak przyznać, że miałam ciarki podczas ponad dwóch godzin występu i był to  zdecydowanie najlepszy koncert w moim życiu! Mogłam usłyszeć kawałki, które bardzo lubię jak np. I Was Made for Lovin’ You, Beth, Rock and Roll All Nite, Psycho Circus, Makin’ Love, 100,000 Years, ale też samo show było spektakularne: pełno ognia, świateł, konfetti, balonów, popisów instrumentów czy śpiewania na ruchomych platformach. To było pożegnanie w wielkim stylu i szczerze wątpię, by jakiś koncert (w mojej ocenie) przebił ten z Krakowa. Czuję się niesamowicie wdzięczna, że mogłam to przeżyć!

ENGLISH: Hi! Today I come to you with a post about the concert of KISS. I love them and always wanted to see them perform live. I must admit that I had goosebumps during more than two hours of the performance and it was without a doubt the best concert of my life! I could hear songs that I like a lot, such as I Was Made for Lovin’ You, Beth, Rock and Roll All Nite, Psycho Circus, Makin’ Love, 100,000 Years, but also the show itself was spectacular: full of fire, lights, confetti, balloons, instrument performances and singing on moving platforms. It was a remarkable farewell and I sincerely doubt that any concert will surpass the one from Kraków. I feel incredibly grateful that I was able to experience it!

ESPAÑOL: ¡Hola! Hoy vengo con un post sobre el concierto de KISS. Los amo y siempre quise verlos actuar en vivo. Debo admitir que se me puso la piel de gallina durante más de dos horas del show y fue sin duda el mejor concierto de mi vida! Pude escuchar canciones que me gustan mucho, como I Was Made for Lovin’ You, Beth, Rock and Roll All Nite, Psycho Circus, Makin’ Love, 100,000 Years, pero también el espectáculo en sí fue increíble: lleno de fuego, luces, confeti, globos, actuaciones de instrumentos y cantos en plataformas móviles. Fue una despedida maravillosa y dudo sinceramente que algún concierto supere al de Cracovia. ¡Me siento muy agradecida de haber podido experimentarlo!

Good old classic songs 🎶

Dzisiaj przychodzę do Was z postem muzycznym z piosenkami wydanymi już spory czas temu, ale których dalej chętnie słucham. Nie mogło wśród nich zabraknąć moich ukochanych zespołów jak Scorpions, IRA, KISS czy U2, lecz do pozostałych również wracam z przyjemnością. Swoją drogą, utwory zespołów Scorpions oraz IRA udało mi się usłyszeć na żywo na ich koncertach, co było dla mnie niezapomnianym przeżyciem. Jakie są Wasze hity skomponowane przynajmniej kilkanaście lat temu?

Dzisiaj chciałabym podzielić się z Wami moimi czytelniczymi planami na nowy miesiąc, playlistą z piosenkami, których ostatnio słucham oraz zdjęciami. Pierwszą książką jest Zemsta władzy -literatura faktu o manipulacjach rządzących i populizmie. Warto też wspomnieć o książce zeszłorocznej noblistki- Bliscy. Ma być ona o relacjach rodzinnych oraz o przeszłości. Pozostałe tytuły (W ukryciu oraz La red púrpura) to kryminały/ thrillery. Znacie je? Miłego dnia!

• Latem pojechałam do Hiszpanii (Walencja) oraz na 3 koncerty (The Chainsmokers, James Arthur i Smolasty).
• Skupiłam się też wtedy na praktykach w biurze podróży, kursie portugalskiego i pisaniu pracy magisterskiej.
• Najlepsze książki przeczytane w tym okresie to Tunel (Ernesta Sábato), Zakochane w psychopatach, Ktoś z nas kłamie, Sezon luster, Depresja, czyli gdy każdy oddech boli oraz Tú y otros desastres naturales.
• Mówiąc o filmach, polecam takie jak Zakonnica (2018) czy Orlęta. Grodno’39.
• Z kosmetyków odkryciami lata był krem CC Red Correct (Erborian), maska wygładzająca do włosów (Resibo), żel myjący do twarzy z ekstraktem z brzoskwiń (Resibo) oraz kredka do brwi brow wiz (Anastasia Beverly Hills)

FEST Festival (The Chainsmokers, James Arthur, Smolasty) 🎉

Dzisiaj czas na krótki update. 12 sierpnia byłam na Fest Festivalu z myślą o 3 koncertach: The Chainsmokers (amerykański duet), Jamesa Arthura (brytyjski wokalista) oraz Smolastego (polski wykonawca). Dalej podtrzymuję, że dzięki całej otoczce jest to jeden z najlepszych festiwali w kraju. Z samych koncertów najcudowniejszy był ten The Chainsmokers, ale reszta również trzymała poziom. Na pewno będę je jeszcze długo wspominać. Słuchacie któregoś z nich? Miłego dnia!

Dzisiaj chciałabym króciutko podsumować czerwiec. Za mną już kolejny rok na uczelni, ukończyłam też kurs z prawa krajów hiszpańskojęzycznych oraz pojechałam na koncert Enrique Iglesiasa. Przygotowałam sobie również 3 książki, które planuję teraz przeczytać: Portret w sepii Isabel Allende, thriller Ktoś z nas kłamie oraz popularnonaukową Zakochane w psychopatach. Znacie je?
